Lindale is made by one person. It moves at a human pace, and your email lands with whoever wrote the code, which is the same person.

Still being built

It is not on the App Store yet. The app gets used every day, and what is left is mostly the unglamorous end of shipping: checking things on real hardware, store paperwork, screenshots, and smoothing off the corners that are still rough.

Email works best

hello@lindale.app, for a bug, a question, a feature you miss, or just to hear when it is out.

For something that looks like a bug, four things turn a report into a fix: your device and version, which kind of source it happened with, what you did just before, and what you expected instead. A screenshot saves a paragraph.

The usual suspects

My server will not connect

The address has to be HTTPS, and there is no setting to relax that. Check that you included any port or path your server lives under. And if you are away from home, check the device can reach it from outside your network at all.

It says the certificate cannot be verified

Expected with a self-signed or private-CA certificate. Lindale shows who issued it so you can tell it is really your server, and accepting it trusts that one certificate from then on. If the warning comes back later, the certificate changed. Worth a moment’s thought before you accept it again.

Wrong username or password, but they are right

Some servers have token authentication switched off, and Lindale never sends a plain password. If the error mentions that, it is a server setting. On Navidrome, check the account is a normal user that can reach the Subsonic API.

Apple Music will not play

Full playback needs an active subscription, otherwise you get previews. Lindale also has to be allowed to use your Apple Music account, which it asks once and which you can change in the system settings for the app. Some tracks in a library are simply not playable, and Apple’s own apps hide that better than they should.

My book or podcast lost its place

Position lives on the Audiobookshelf server, so a device that could not reach it will carry a local position until it can. Check the server is up and the account is the one you listen with, and that the same book is not open in another app writing its own progress.

There is a short gap between two tracks

If those two tracks have different sample rates, that gap is correct: the hardware has to be reset between them.

The readout says Resampled

Something in the path could not carry the track’s own rate: AirPlay, Bluetooth, or an output whose rate is fixed. The badge reports what actually happened rather than what you hoped for.

Playback keeps pausing

Lindale pauses when headphones come out, a speaker drops off, a call arrives, or the output device disappears, so your music never surprises the room. If it pauses without any of that, that one is worth an email.
