Everything it plays

One library, whatever the sound happens to be: albums, books, episodes, and the radio stations you saved on your server. No switching apps because the format changed.

Music

Your server and Apple Music on one shelf. An album in both places shows up once, and you say which copy plays. Records that Apple Music splits into four entries over a guest credit get put back together as one album.

Audiobooks

Chapters, a sleep timer, and the exact second you dozed off, handed straight back to Audiobookshelf so every device agrees.

Podcasts

Your server fetches the episodes, and Lindale marks what you have heard and plays the rest. Nothing recommended at you, ever.

One library, whatever you are listening to

Point it at your own music server, sign in to Apple Music, add the server that holds your books and podcasts. One of them, or all of them. Each kind of listening gets the treatment it needs, and your choices follow you around over your own iCloud. Nothing passes through me.

Music your own server, and Apple Music → Audiobooks series, chapters, your place kept → Podcasts fetched by your own server →

The name. / LIN-dayl / is a linden valley, the tree a village once gathered under to sing and play. Said out loud it is also the Elvish word for music. Both readings are fine by me.
